“un/Lucky Cancer – from pain to creation” is the moving story of singer-songwriter Noa Bentor, who faced breast cancer at the age of 31—just as her international music career was about to take off. Through music, storytelling, and live performance, Noa shares her journey of resilience, love, and rediscovery.

In her talk, Noa shares the delicate balance between caring for the body and nurturing the soul. She opens up about the grueling treatments, the fears, the reliance on family and friends, humor and art, and the way music & writing became both a refuge and a source of healing.

The songs she wrote during treatments reflected a time of struggle, love and heartbreak, questions about mortality and faith, and deep physical and emotional pain. These songs came together in a raw and authentic experience, shaping her album Love & Darkness, released in July 2015 to rave reviews.
